États-Unis - AVA Sonoma County

Trinite Estate 2013

€990 Bottle of 10cl

Explore the famous Sonoma County with this Bordeaux-reminiscent Californian red. This was an all-round hit with the 10-Vins team during their trip to the states for the 2017 CES. Its winemakers have brought their perfect French savoir faire to a remarkable vineyard with extraordinarily good weather. Made from Bordeaux's most predominant varieties, this is a balanced wine that shows concentrated black fruit aromas alongside beautifully silky tannins. You'll find a very deep, almost inky color and a full-bodied yet pleasantly smooth texture.

Winemakers

Gonzague & Claire Lurton

Gonzague & Claire Lurton come from two of Bordeaux's great winegrowing families: the Lurton family and the Merlaut family. In 2012, their fascination for the diverse nature of American soils and California’s broad range of winegrowing conditions drove them to move West and purchase 24 hectares of vineyards in the renowned Sonoma Valley. Here the grapes are harvested at their aromatic peak, but before they reach maximum ripeness in order to produce wines with good acidity and perfect balance. Today Gonzague & Claire have six estates to their name and ensure that their vineyards are managed with greatest care for the land and the environment.
