AOP Saint-Joseph

Domaine Laurent Habrard 2015

€590 Bottle of 10cl

Every terroir has a history and St. Joseph is no exception. Once known as 'Vin de Mauves', this winegrowing area was given its current name by 17th-century Jesuits. Many years have passed, but the winemaking tradition lives on in the area. In June 1956, Saint Joseph officially became an appellation d'origine contrôlée, or AOC wine. This cherry colored red wine, made exclusively with Syrah, has aromas of raspberry, torrefied coffee and cocoa. Nice notes of black pepper and spices develop on the finish.
