AOP Margaux

Château La Gurgue Cru Bourgeois 2017

€880 Flacon de 10cl

The most famous of Médoc appellations is now available with the D-Vine! This is a deep coloured wine with a cherry rim. The nose is intense with harmonious notes of sweet cherry and peony. The palate is in perfect continuity, with a firm mouthfeel and cherry-driven flavours. This is a fleshy wine with pleasantly textured tannins that leave a long-lasting sensation in the mouth. An excellent gourmet’s choice.

Winemaker

Claire Villars-Lurton

Claire Villars Lurton In 1993, Claire Villars Lurton, aged 25 at the time, took over the management of Châteaux La Gurgue and pushed on with the process of renewal initiated by her mother. She undertook a major rebuilding of the winery facilities in order to bring out the exceptional character of the vineyard’s terroir in the wines. In parallel, she has worked hard to bring in sustainable winegrowing practices at the estate. As a result of her efforts, she has succeeded in producing wines with finesse, subtlety and elegance that rival some of the biggest names.
