AOP Jurançon

Domaine Cauhapé 2017

€840 Flacon de 10cl

This 100% Petit Manseng, harvested late, during the first days of November, displays the typical varietal notes of pineapple and tropical fruit. On the palate, the wine’s sweet sensation quickly gives way to very nice acidity, for a fresh and very balanced result. To resume, this is an intensely fresh Jurançon in which sweetness and acidity are perfectly matched.

Winemaker

Henri Ramonteu

Originally from a farming family, Henri Ramonteu gave up everything in 1988 to begin making wine. After expanding his vineyard year upon year, this intuitive and genuine winemaker today cultivates some 40 hectares of vines. With his extremely late-harvested sweet white wines, for which grapes are sometimes picked after January 1st, Henri Ramonteu has shaken up the world of Jurançon winemaking and helped to restore the reputation of the Petit Manseng grape.
