AOP Chinon

Domaine Béatrice & Pascal Lambert 2014

€600 Bottle of 10cl

This garnet colored Chinon has the typical aromatic profile of Cabernet Franc, one of the Loire Valley’s star grapes. Intense notes of kirsch cherries and blackcurrant combine with aromas of undergrowth in a rich yet delicate nose. This is a very fruity wine with a supple body and good fullness that coats the mouth with its fine-grained and nicely persistent tannins. A wine to enjoy with down-to-earth cuisine.

Winemakers

Béatrice & Pascal Lambert

This family-run estate, started in 1987, grows some 17 hectares of Cabernet Franc and Chenin Blanc in Cravant-les-Coteaux and Chinon. To allow the distinctive character of the terroir to show through, only natural methods are used in the vineyard and the winery. The old vines planted over 70 years ago are thus able to fully express themselves on the vineyard’s clay and gravel terraces.
