AOP Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru

Château de Pommard 2015

€1500 Flacon de 10cl

This wine marks the return of one the finest French appellations to the D-Vine wine list! Renowned throughout the world for its white wines, Chassagne-Montrachet is one of the most sought-after Burgundy appellations. Now you can enjoy a Chassagne-Montrachet Premier Cru with your D-Vine. This wine has a superbly powerful nose with the vanilla and buttery brioche notes you expect from very fine Chardonnay and the Côte de Beaune’s great white wines. On the palate, the wine is full and creamy with fruitiness and notes of sweet spices to add. Refreshing minerality gives a nice balance to the ensemble in the finish. A great wine offering a wonderful combination of body and elegance.

Emmanuel Sala

After a nine year search for a place to make fine wine in France, the Carabello-Baum family, from San Francisco made Château de Pommard their home. Château de Pommard is one of Burgundy’s most iconic estates and with 20 hectares of vineyards is also the owner of the largest Burgundy monopole (appellation controlled by a single vineyard). Working in harmony with nature and dedication to winemaking are at the core of the estate’s approach. The Carabello-Baum family’s desire is to ‘let mother nature do the talking’ and ‘to transform Château de Pommard into something that transcends a Burgundy winery, but also retains its core values and deep Burgundian roots’.
