AOP Chablis Grand Cru

Domaine Brocard 2014

€1429 Flacon de 10cl

The climat of Grenouilles is the smallest of the seven Grands Crus of Chablis, covering 9.3 hectares between the Vaudésir and Valmur Grands Crus. Running along the river Serein which cuts through Chablis, this climat takes its name from the frogs that populate the river. This Grand Cru has a delightfully intense and opulent nose. Vanilla, baking spaces and cooked apple bring beautiful complexity to its aromatic profile. Very nice minerality, floral notes and a long-lasting finish give it a great palate, too.

Winemaker

Jean-Marc Brocard

From his many years of training alongside the winemaker Louis Petit, Jean-Marc Brocard learned patience and respect and many precious lessons about the soil, subsoil, the vines and life in general. Now, in turn, he has begun passing on this wisdom to his son Julien. Having joined his father in 1995, Julien is successfully pursuing the development of the estate, which is one of the region's largest for organic winegrowing.
