AOP Bourgogne

Domaine Camu Frères 2018

€450 Flacon de 10cl

Once belonging to the Dukes of Burgundy, the vineyards of Vézelay have existed since Gallo-Roman times. Made exclusively from Pinot Noir, this Burgundy has a cherry red color with a pale pink rim and a delicate nose of kirsch and raspberry. Alongside these red-fruit-driven aromas, lightly floral notes add to this wine's beautiful perfume. On the palate, the wine is supple yet concentrated in flavor.

Winemaker

Baron Patrick de Ladoucette

This 15-hectare estate at the foot of the ‘Colline Eternelle’ was bought by the Camu brothers in 1999 then taken over by the Baron Patrick de Ladoucette in 2008. In order to produce fruity, terroir-driven wines that express the full potential of the Vézelay area, he keeps yields low and employs traditional winemaking methods. The Jurassic limestone vineyard slopes are fully south-facing and give excellent quality wines.
